The University of Miami has three campuses: Coral Gables, Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, and Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science (RSMAS). Although most students arrive in Miami by plane, the city is also accessible by bus, train or automobile. Visit these sites for a variety of ways to get to the University of Miami from Miami International Airport and from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport:
Metrorail:
Metrorail is the most affordable choice for getting to and from the airport. A single ticket costs $2.25. For more Metrorail information, go to www.miamidade.gov/transit/metrorail.asp.

From Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport:
Taxicabs and SuperShuttle:
Taxicabs and SuperShuttle (305-871-2000) vans are available only on the arrival (ground) level of the airport, outside of the baggage claim areas. Please be sure to go to the designated Taxi and Shuttle stands and speak with a uniformed staff member for assistance. Tipping is customary in the United States. When it comes to tipping, we recommend $2.00 per bag.
Ridesharing Services:
Services such as Uber and Lyft have also become an increasingly popular way for students to get around Miami. Please note, you will need access to the internet on your cellphone and will need to register accounts with these companies in order to request a driver. Note: The University does not endorse any ridesharing service or otherwise have an affiliation with these companies. Your decision to use a ridesharing service should carefully consider factors including your personal safety.
